Cellissimo 2021 – From Prussia With Love
30 August 2021
The 17th century splendour of Portumna Castle on the shores of Lough Derg was the setting for
the Sunday evening CELLISSIMO concert on March 28th. People took part in a guided
online tour of the castle and its history before settling down to watch ConTempo Quartet and
cellist Christopher Marwood perform Mozart’s Quartet K.575, composed for the cello-loving
King of Prussia, and the sublime Schubert Quintet, the composer’s final chamber work.
