MfG Out and About
In line with our sustainability policy and our strategy to bring our wonderful artists to those who may find it difficult to join our regular concerts, we present MfG Out and About. These are smaller concerts tailored to particular circumstances but generally open to all.
The 2026/27 season will see two such events: Nurit Stark (opens in new tab)will appear in Croí House while double bassist Levi Andreassen(opens in new tab) will perform in Galway University Hospital.

MusicConnects Ensemble Skills
Our collaboration with the MusicConnects Ensemble Skills Programme continues. This season members of the Elevation Ensemble will work with participants of this scheme.
Bachelor of Arts (Music) Workshops
As part of our strategic partnership with the University of Galway, some of our visiting artists are engaging with the students of the BA in Music. This season it will be opera singers Sharon Carty and Eamonn Mulhall (opens in new tab)who will discuss their education, career path and performance in opera. Violinist Karen Dervan(opens in new tab) gives a career talk on her life holding a foot in both camps of arts administration and performance. Levi Andreassen(opens in new tab), double bass player, will share his experience making his life as a soloist, chamber music player pushing the limits of his instrument.
