The Michael D. Higgins Auditorium, formerly the Lower Aula, is located in the Quadrangle in the University of Galway. The university is located near the centre of the city and stretches along the picturesque River Corrib. The oldest part of the university, the Quadrangle, designed by John Benjamin Keane, is a replica of Christ Church, one of the colleges at the University of Oxford.
PARKING
Pay and display parking is available on campus. Free after 5.30pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
ACCESSIBILITY
Venue accessibility: this hall is accessible vis the ramp to the right hand side of the front door.
Accessible parking: click here for a map of parking on University of Galway campus and blue badge owners can park anywhere on campus.
Accessible toilets: there are a number of steps to access the toilets from the hall. Wheelchair accessible toilets are located across the quad beside the staff club.
