Leave a Legacy Gift

Should you wish to do so, you can make Music for Galway a beneficiary of a gift in your Will. The generosity of people who remember MfG in their Will would help us grow and build up our legacy of impact on many lives: from artists and production personnel to our diverse audiences.

HOW TO LEAVE A GIFT OF A WILL

If you have already made a Will and would like to leave a gift to MfG, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing Will. This is called a codicil, and your solicitor can help you with it.

If you do not have a Will and would like to make one, we strongly advise you to see a solicitor. Although you will have to pay a fee, you will receive professional advice and can be sure that your wishes are achieved.

There are a number of ways in which you can leave a gift in your Will:

  • You can choose to leave a residuary gift, which is a share or the entirety of what is left in your estate once you have provided for your loved ones
  • You can choose to give a pecuniary gift, which is a gift of a fixed amount of money
  • You can also choose to leave a specific gift of property, such as a building, art or shares. These gifts can be left to sell and used according to your instructions

Your solicitor will be able to provide you with advice on which option best suits your wishes and personal circumstances.

Your solicitor will need to know our address and registered charity number:
