ARTIST PROFILE: Musici Ireland

Founded in 2012, Musici Ireland is one of Ireland’s most dynamic chamber music ensembles, known for championing contemporary Irish music and creating powerful artistic collaborations. At its core is a collective of exceptional musicians dedicated to exploring the possibilities of chamber music through bold programming, new commissions, and emotionally resonant performances. Alongside traditional concert presentation, Musici Ireland collaborates with poets, dancers, actors, visual artists, and filmmakers to create immersive multidisciplinary experiences that connect deeply with audiences.

Led by violist Beth McNinch, the ensemble has performed at leading festivals and venues in Ireland and internationally, building a reputation for artistic excellence and socially engaged work. Their projects frequently amplify underrepresented voices and explore themes including identity, women’s experiences, mental health, and social change.

In 2025, Musici Ireland released their debut album, Earthrise, on the Divine Art/Métier label. Featuring works by leading Irish composers including Deirdre Gribbin, Ian Wilson, Linda Buckley, Deirdre McKay, and Liam Bates, the album showcases the ensemble’s commitment to contemporary chamber music and the rich landscape of modern Irish composition.
