ARTIST PROFILE:
Laura Aherne

Laura Aherne studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music, where she was the Joseph Clover Scholar. A Wexford Factory Artist, she has there performed the roles of Corinna Il Viaggio a Reims, Tytania A Little Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nedda Pagliacci, and Adina L’elisir d’Amore. In 2024, she was the winner of the Danone Young Outstanding Female Artist Award at WFO and the Canto al Serchio Award at the Birr Festival of Music. She was the 2023 recipient of the Brackaville Bursary by Irish Heritage UK, and has performed across Ireland and the UK at venues and festivals including the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, Royal Overseas League, Leighton House, and the Irish Embassy London.
