Accessibility

Music for Galway is committed to making each event as accessible as possible, to provide a warm welcome and to deliver a positive experience for all.

We are committed to being as inclusive of all individuals irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, religion, age, disability, race, membership of the Traveller community or socio-economic status.

Venue Accessibility

We have compiled a list of our concert venues with detailed information on accessible entrance, seats, toilets and nearby accessible parking spots.

You can access it by clicking the button below.

MfG would prefer that all concert venues are accessible, however a number of partner venues have restricted access including the Emily Anderson Concert Hall in the University of Galway.

For any queries, contact the MfG office on 091 705962.

Relaxed Performances

All of our lunchtime concerts, in partnership with Arts in Action at the University of Galway are designated as Relaxed Performances.

This means that in this context we strive to create a welcoming space for everyone, to provide a chance for us all to enjoy the best of music with the understanding that some of us may benefit from a more relaxed setting.

To make these concerts more accessible, rather than producing written programme notes, the artists will introduce the pieces they have chosen.

This also means that we all (including the artists) will be accepting and welcoming, should there be more movement or sound in the room. In this context we embrace the fact that enjoyment comes in all shapes and sizes!
