Galway Messiah is a new approach to presenting Handel’s seasonal oratorio, born right here in Galway. A performance by the people of Galway for the people of Galway, this is a truly cross-community production in which amateur singers share a stage with a stellar lineup of professionals, all directed by Mark Duley.
This performance offers an opportunity to the St. Nicholas Singers and other adults and children throughout the community to work with Galway’s professional choir Resurgam and soloists, and Galway’s baroque instrumental ensemble Vespera to bring a uniquely Galway performance to life.
This will be a truly unforgettable performance of Handel’s Messiah in St. Nicholas Collegiate Church in the heart of medieval Galway!
If you would like to join the St. Nicholas' Singers for this Galway Messiah, please contact Maureen Rabbitt on (087) 230 8860 or [email protected]. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
If you would like to contribute to Galway Messiah in any way, please contact Anna Lardi at [email protected] or Linda O’Shea Farren at [email protected]
