Ciarán Kelly is a singer and conductor from Derry. Having graduated from the Royal Irish Academy of Music in 2010, Ciarán has sung professionally with Resurgam, Chamber Choir Ireland, St Patrick’s Cathedral Choir, Anúna and Christ Church Cathedral Choir. He has also worked with Irish National Opera, Wexford Opera, Opera Theatre Company and Wide Open Opera.
Ciarán performs a wide range of vocal chamber music, from specialist early music with professional vocal ensemble Resurgam, to contemporary a cappella music with Ardú, a group who he directs and manages. He spent two years in London working with renowned vocal performers Apollo5, performing throughout the UK as well as Estonia, France, Taiwan and Germany, and delivering vocal masterclasses to amateur and professional singers.
Ciarán has toured the world with The Five Irish Tenors, Songs of Ireland and Celtic Woman. Now based in Dublin, Ciarán is assistant director of St Mary’s Pro Cathedral Choirs, alongside his regular directing duties with Ardú Vocal Ensemble, Euphonics, Ireland Unlimited and Lambay Singers.
