Soprano, Aisling Kenny is a soloist and ensemble singer, specializing in early music and art song. She pursues a busy freelance career at home and abroad and sings frequently as a soloist in baroque chamber music and oratorio. Recent performances include Couperin Leçons de Ténèbres, Bach Johannes-Passion, Matthäus-Passion, B minor Mass, as well as several cantatas, Handel Messiah and Dixit Dominus. She has sung as a soloist with Irish Baroque Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Kilkenny, Marlborough Baroque, The Orchestra of St Cecilia, Linden Baroque and the Staatskapelle Halle. Aisling has performed as a soloist in several festivals including the Galway Early Music Festival, Sligo Baroque Festival, Ardee Baroque Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and New Music Dublin. She is a devoted song recitalist and loves singing with lute, fortepiano and guitar. Recent highlights include a lute song recital with Thomas Dunford in Paris, a recital at the Clara Schumann 200 conference at Oxford University with Cecily Lock and several concerts with baroque ensemble Ensemble Revelare. A keen ensemble singer, Aisling is a member of Resurgam since 2008 and sings with several groups including Collegium Vocale Gent, Chamber Choir Ireland, Sestina and Crux.
