Postponed

In light of the current Covid-19 situation, the board of Music for Galway in consultation with Galway 2020 has decided to postpone all events until the end of June of 2020. These include the already postponed

  • concerts of the Abendmusik Series 1 and 2
  • festival CELLISSIMO

and in addition to that now also:

  • concerts of the Abendmusik Series 3 and 4
  • the community opera Paper Boat in association with Irish National Opera
The Executive Director of Music for Galway Anna Lardi Fogarty said “As major projects within the programme of Galway European Capital of Culture 2020, these projects have been in the planning phase for three years. It is with great regret that this decision to postpone has been taken, but current circumstances simply do not leave us with an alternative. This is to safeguard audiences, participants and artists alike. With all the work and creativity and financial resources already invested in these fantastic projects, Music for Galway is resolved to seeing these delivered at a later date.”
